Lead #1 – A local couple suffered injuries in a traffic accident back in March that led the couple to sue. The couple was awarded yesterday $150,000 in damages at the Butte County Court.

Lead #2 – Forecasters are predicting another snowstorm after previous snowstorms ravaged the Sierras.

Lead #3 According to the police, three firefighters and 41 families were involved in the evacuation of a six-story building today on 204 Union Ave. The firefighters suffered injuries while rescuing the families inside, no families were reported to be injured.

Well this seems to be my introduction blog for blogger.com, so lets get started. My name is Scott Reyburn and I am 19 year video game addict, slacker, and insomniac (if you already can't tell by my name, I'm a male). I love to play, read, write, and watch everything about video games. No I am not a nerd, lets get that out of the way first. I love to watch and play sports like anyone else. Recently over this past summer I have taken up hockey with my friend as a sport at Rollin' Ice. I like to watch a lot of movies whether it be at home or at the theaters. On a part time basis I am known to get in to trouble by fooling around in the mall or at stores leading to me getting kicked out.

What I want to get out of Journalism 61 and a journalism degree in general is to become a better writer (of coarse) and learn the writing style side and business side of the journalism industry. The one aspect of media that I am interested in should seem apparent already. My dream is to become a video games journalist whether it be print (Electronic Gaming Monthly, Game Informer, etc.) or online (GameSpot, IGN, 1UP).
