The Fog Index
After painstakingly looking for a 100-word writing piece (most of my writing is way over 100 words), I found a self-description of myself using metaphors and analogies from two years ago in LLD 2. When all the steps were completed, I came out with a Fog index of 8.36. The fog index says most Americans read at about the 9th-grade level, so experts advise shooting for a Fog index of 7 or 8. Now I came a little close with an 8.36, but I guess this means I am a good writer for dumb people?

I hate to tell you this, but you could have used 100 words out of a longer piece....
Anyway, maybe it just means your writing is straighforward and accessible.
