Halo 3 is locked and loaded for its September release.

According to gamespot.com, the biggest video game franchise this decade, Halo, has gone gold on its third iteration. Halo 3 for the Xbox 360 will hit store shelves in the U.S. on September 25th and will most likely mark the biggest one day profit of all time in entertainment. In 2004, Halo 2, made a profit of almost $125 million dollars in sales day one. Halo 3 will launch with a regular edition at $59.99, a limited edition at $69.99, and a legendary edition with a helmet of Master Chief at $129.99. Over one million preorders have been put down between the three different versions of the game. Microsoft hopes that Halo continues to boost the Xbox brand even further than what it already had done for the original Xbox.
